Nifty -The 5,545 will be an important level to watch for in tomorrow’s trade. Analysts pointed out that the breach of the 5,545 mark (the high of February 2008) will be considered a technical breakout.
Bajaj Auto (up 2.62 per cent), Dr. Reddy’s and Sesa Goa (up 1.88 per cent) will be added to the list of 50 stocks on Nifty index of NSE from 1 October. They have replace ABB, Idea Cellular (up 0.21 per cent) and Unitech (down 1.47).
Options – On the options side, the PCR which has been rising consistently today held that 1.6 mark. The important thing was that 5,700-5,800 call for the next series opened up and we were seeing buying happening in both the calls which was very interesting. The September 5700 call saw longs building up. There was substantial momentum in both of them.
Kingfisher, the biggest mover today in the F&O space was up nearly 13% and we saw a build up of nearly 2 lakh shares. There was more cash based buying happening in these stocks especially airline stocks after the announcement came in.
There were two stocks buzzing on the back of short covering. Ruchi Soya saw short covering and a cut of nearly 6.5 lakh shares and the stock was up nearly 7%.

The following stocks look bullish on the charts based on their close on 13TH AUGUST 2010. These indicators generally yield very good dividends if traded accordingly. However, it is important to appreciate that “NEVER TRY TO CATCH HOLD OF A FALLING KNIFE”.
Hence, buy only if the stock is rising and as close to the EOD price of the previous day. Buying in at the higher end of spectrum will incur lesser profits and may even result in a loss if you are trading intraday. Hence, keep the entry levels in mind and book profits at levels of comfort or at least trail stop loss.
The bullish stocks for MONDAY, 7th AUGUST 2010 are
SAHARA HOUSING
PHOENIX LAMPS
DS KULKARNI
KOTAK MAHENDRA BANK
PHOTOQUIP
ERA INFRA
STATE BANK OF MYSORE
DHAMPUR SUGAR
AARVEE DENIMS

BALAJI TELEFILMS
Bearish Stocks - Stock Charts | Stock Trading | S&P Trading System
The following stocks show a certain degree of bearishness on the charts. However, please note that in a upward market, even the most bearish stocks even if they do not sympathetically go up, will at best try to maintain their levels and perhaps sacrifice a southward movement.
Hence in markets such as those described above, trades should be limited to small quantities and the practice of revising stop loss to trail the target should always be implemented.
The following stocks look bearish on their daily charts
HDFC LIMITED
VAKRANGEE SOFTWARE
DEEWAN HOUSING
ARIHANT CAPITAL
DJS STOCKS
SHARDUL SECURITIES
GARNET INTERNATIONAL
SHIVALIK BIMETAL
AHMEDNAGAR FORGINGS

South-Bound Week
• I had, last week mentioned that the next resistance could be in the range of 5480-5509. It resisted at 5487 and has shown tendency of dropping. See Chart pattern 2.
• Next week, NIFTY is expected to test the nearest support of 5200, beyond which 4960. Note the previous points NIFTY has tested 5200 and 4960.
• It is to be noted that, the dropping tendency has started before touching the top trend line of the Chart Pattern 2. This, partial rise phenomena could be pointing to a faster drop next week.

CAG completes RIL gas field cost audit – Market News
Written By Sheffin on Friday, August 6, 2010 | 10:31 AM
Comptroller and Auditor General(CAG) -”The audit is complete at CAG end. We are currently in the final compilation stage after which the report will be sent to the Oil Ministry for comments,” a CAG official said.
CAG, which went into the $8.8 billion cost incurred by Reliance in producing gas from the nation’s largest field, had examined and received replies on its audit comments from the Mukesh Ambani-led firm. The CAG plans to complete the entire audit process, which will include incorporating oil ministry’s comments on its findings, by November.
CAG started audit of Krishna Godavari basin D6 field on December 21 last year. It, however, faced some difficulty in accessing new documets it sought after completing the first round of scrutiny. But within a month, RIL complied and the premier auditor made good progress thereafter.
RIL had on August 17 agreed to an audit by CAG but the nation’s premier auditor could put its house in order for the audit only by December.
CAG’s scope of audit of PSC in respect of the block KG-DWN-98/3 (KG-D6) awarded to RIL, for two financial years – 2006-07 and 2007-08, with access to records of previous years linked to transactions of these years.
Hold Oracle Finacial Services:News Center
Oracle Financial Services Software (OFSS) reported a weak first quarter compared to both the previous and the same quarter last year. On a YoY basis Revenues declined by 8% and sequentially Revenues declined by 14%. On a YoY basis PAT showed a growth of 4% owing mainly to a favorable forex scenario this quarter. Since the company doesn’t hedge its forex exposure, the other income number usually tends to fluctuate a lot each quarter. The company has a lot of board members from the Parent’s lineage. This might bring better focus to how the company will be run as part of the Oracle suite of products, rather than just a standalone banking software product company. But that is not the best part. This is, Oracle Inc (the parent company) owns an 80% stake in OFSS. As per the new law of mandatory 25% public shareholding, OFSS falls short by 5%. That means, either the parent company will have to shed 5% of its ownership in the company or it can choose to buy up the leftover 20% by offering a really attractive price to the existing shareholders. The latter seems to be a more probable alternative because it hasn’t been long since the Parent has increased its stake in the company. Regulations do have a way to catch up and upset restructuring plans, but this opportunity to take the company private is also possible. Previously, Oracle Inc’s offer price was in the range of Rs. 2,200 per share. So the existing shareholders will demand a premium to that price as well. How this turns out is anybodys guess. But it sure is an attractive possibility to HOLD on to the business. We recommend a HOLD,” says Parag Parikh Financial Advisory Services

Net sales, QoQ was almost stagnant at Rs.230.65 crore while YoY it was up 7%. In Q2, the higher costs were the bane so this Q3, it corrected this. Operating expenses as a percentage of net sales was lower at 69% compared to 73% in Q2FY10 and 74% in Q3FY09. And this has been reflected in the operating margins to. OPM was up at 31.39% v/s 26.93% in Q2 and 27.40% in Q3FY09. Interest costs which were earlier high have now come down as the investment made in its ongoing brownfield expansion at Satna, Madhya Pradesh, and greenfield plant at Andhra Pradesh are now nearing completion. These projects are likely to come on stream by 2011. NPM was up at 18.20% as against 15.23% QoQ and 14.41% sequentially.
Net profit was up at Rs.41.97 crore, 20% rise QoQ and 35% surge on a YoY.
Once the Madhya Pradesh and Andhra plants are commissioned, the total capacity from the present 2.5 milion tonne would go up to 7.5 million tonne. This is just another addition to the situation of glut already expected in the sector. Also given the agitations in Andhra, the new Greenfield project could see a delay in getting commissioned.
Realisations are up but that is after the lean period it witnessed on account of the monsoon in Q2. Q4 is expected to be more robust as realty is picking up and so are infra projects.
