The markets lost significantly today with IT, metal, oil & gas and auto being the worst performers.

The Sensex closed at 15668 (provisional), down 190 points from its previous close, and the Nifty closed at 4703 (provisional), down 53 points. The CNX Midcap index was up 0.2% and the BSE Smallcap index has gained 0.9%. The market breadth was positive with advances at 748 against declines of 545 on the NSE.
